Caroling at the Festival of Trees
Ghost Light Players were invited to perform as Dickensian Carolers at the 2012 Festival of Trees in Marlborough. Thanks to the many folks who came out to perform with us, and to those kind audience members and vendors who were so welcoming to our troupe!
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

The play features three interlocking plots, connected by a celebration of the wedding of Duke Theseus of Athens and the Amazon queen, Hippolyta. It takes place in the woodland, and in the realm of Fairyland, under the light of the moon. Young lovers chase (and are chased) through the woods, stumbling into the midst of a quarrel between the King and Queen of the Fairies. Meanwhile, a troupe of traveling players attempts to mount an entertainment for the Duke’s wedding feast, but also fall prey to the Fey’s machinations. It all comes out well in the end in this magical romantic comedy by Shakespeare.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream was performed on September 8 & 15, 2012. Thanks to everyone who made our first foray into Shakespeare such a rousing success!

“Almost, Maine”
On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
Our first show, “Almost, Maine” was performed on March 23, 24 and 25 of 2012. The show was a great success, and we send out our thanks to the cast, crew and audience, for a magical experience.
